Problem trying to bypass the PG Distor pedals using midi (sending PC)
-
Hello to everybody. I have a very big problem:
I cannot bypass the pedal. I have a Rocktron midimate for control all my midi devices and when i want to bypass the pedal for a clean sound i cannot. It responds automat like 1 ,2 , 3 , 4 etc.... numbers of the pedal board like if i send PC1 PC2, PC3 etc.... I mean when i click the bank 1:1 in the pedalboard the Positive Distorsion activates PC#1.
I can send PC for select any of the presets i have saved in the Bias Pedal but i dont know how i can bypass it.
Thank you for reading -
I cant tell from the forum whether this is desktop or iOS, but for Desktop Piz MIDI tools can switch these for you, or if using REAPER, SWS PC to CC converter will work

@koldo-goenaga MIDI PC# on BIAS Pedal device are locked to change presets , say MIDI PC#0 for Preset1/PC#1 for Preset2 etc. That means it's not possible to set a different PC# to bypass the pedal.

@felix so you are telling me that there is no way to bypass the pedal sending a PC?

Looks at Piz MIDI tools, theres a few combinations that should work.
A script I'm using lately has the ability to do it thru snapshots. There's several ways, its just a bit tricky

@koldo-goenaga Yes.

Theoretically, you should be able to do it if your switcher can send CC commands. It's a crappy solution but..... Send 2 commands - first to turn on a footswitch (A, B, or C - those are on the CC commands) then send the next to turn it off. I'm facing the same problem right now and starting to reconsider getting BIAS Delay and Modulation, if those have no bypass midi command.
BTW, what would it take to implement a bypass midi command? Would it take just a firmware update or is it a hardware issue??
