Bias FX Latest Update v1.5.9.2855 Seems to Have Dialed Back the Gain on High Gain Amps(?)
-
Is it just me, or did the latest update for Bias FX dialed back the gain on high gain amps? Before the update I used a very washy high gain tone with the gain knob on a Rectifier dialed at 8, and after the update, the gain sounds like if it was dialed back to 4, maybe even 3, and raising it doesn't really help much to match the same tone it was before. Is anyone else having the same experience?

We intentionally did that to ensure the gains on all existing presets are more consistent on all platforms (hardware, mobile & desktop), according to our DSP engineers. You can just dial up a little bit to recover the gain level.

Good idea.

Isn't that something you better should declare clearly in the Update History / Release Notes at the Changes of 1.5.9.2855
I am not affected but would be upset, if I would have been, without a warning :/ -
Before the release, we indeed made the necessary adjustment but the difference on Hi-Gain amps tuns out to be more than what we expected. Sorry about that, moving forward we'll be more careful with such cases.
