Delay between Playing and Bias
-
That is basically my problem. I am using an audio interface: BEHRINGER U-PHORIA UMC22
When I use DirectSound as my input I can hear it but it has the delay. I switch to ASIO and I hear nothing. I have ASIO4ALL v2 as well. I hit the TEST button and I can hear the ring. But for some reason ASIO is not picking up my interface input. I have no idea how to fix this. Please help.

Are you running it in standalone mode? We're actually having an argument over this exact interface elsewhere right at this exact moment. Apparently it will run at near ASIO speeds in WASAPI, but I haven't been able to confirm that
-
I don't know what standalone is to be honest. I thought it meant is my interface a physical object, like the one i have is sitting next to me on my desk
-
As in are you running Bias as its own program or are you running it as a VST inside a DAW?
-
OH WAIT does it mean am i using the program alone?? If so then yes.
-
Which Bias is this? Amp 1, Amp 2, FX?
-
@pipelineaudio Bias FX STD

So Direct Sound works, but with the nasty latency expected with directsound....what about "Windows Audio" setting instead of ASIO or Direct Sound? A4All should work, but its sketchy, there may be a problem of deciding what input is called what, not sure if there's a control panel in the UMC22 drivers, but there are chosers inside bias' audio settings
-
@pipelineaudio I actually just tried this. I have my iRig2 hooked up to my laptop now, guitar going in, BIAS going out into ym headphones. No latency at all, everything is on time. So it is definitely something with my Interface.

These guys definitely got input to output on the umc22. Should probably ask them for some tips.
