BIAS Amp - overall volume relatively low?
-
Hi. Compared to GuitarRig 5 and the ol' POD Farm 2.59, I feel that the overall volume of BIAS Amp Pro is relatively low. Does anybody else recognise that?
-
I agree and especially on clean sounds. (bias fx)

I noticed this too and went in and tweaked a few settings (maxed out the transformer output, maxed out the power amp master knob) to make it louder however I feel like it still lacks in this area.
What did everyone do to make it louder for them?

Here is my post with a few testings which shows that even a empty signal path leads to a weaker overall level.

@sascha-ballweg thanks for the link. I quickly went through it. I have a 90 watt Mesa head and even at 45 watts it can get insanely loud. Not sure my powered bias rack can compare with a tube heads power but I'll be testing it this week more.

From my POV this issue is not a matter of loudness, it's more a matter of tone quality! A preamp reacts more sensitive if the input signal is maxed out, level-wise. The overall volume of your Class-D power-section (hardware) is just loudness and not that much tone building than the preamp-section.

@sascha-ballweg just bought latest version 2 -- very dissapointed with overall volume compared to guitarrig and scuffam S-Gear
Overall tones not great either - not sure how they get the demos to sound so good :-( -
@dmeaburn they double the tracks, pan them and add stereo effects (for example each one has different mic positions and different delay times) and eq them. The best thing of course is to record it two times seperately and also pan them. Use the ir loader from bias amp with high quality impulse responses. With all these tipps you get such a sound. But yes in clean sounds, im also disappointed with bias.
