Metal Tones

So, today I finally got to have a proper look at Bias FX and I was eager to have a look at the FX for Distortion and there were none! Not a single one - to say I was disappointed is a bloody understatement. All there were were Overdrives which aren't enough for what I need.
So, how can I get metal tones? Can I buy a Distortion pedal and somehow how that up to Bias FX, so, I can get the tones I need? Is there any way I can hook it up in the FX loop? Does Bias FX have an FX loop?
I can't believe this product doesn't even have a Metal Zone type clone, I mean why??? I can't understand that.
What the hell to I need to do to get metal tones out of this product???
Please help.

I use the amps themselves for metal tones, and sometimes the included tube screamer pedal in front of them, then I use whatever favorite impulse, but the stock recto cab is actually pretty awesome to me!

That's the thing I have never used the real things so getting a good metal tone is incredibly hard for me, with say, a Metal Muff, Metal Zone, Metal Core, whatever, I just put then in front of a nice clean amp and away you go. I don't even know how to use a Tube screamer to craft a good tone, I have never used an impulse either, I will soon hopefully. I have never used a tube amp, it's always been modellers into clean amps, I know how to use them.

My general starting place is to pick an amp and set drive around 3-5, then put an OD pedal in front with something like drive at 0-2 and level around 6-8. Tweak from there to taste.

Thanks, I'll make that my routine from now on, until I can start to hear how it works.
Cheers :)

I've been using Bias for four years or so now, and I'm primarily a metal player. Prior to that, I used Line 6 Gearbox for a number of years, and for a short time in between, Peavey Revalver (which I actually in many ways prefered over Bias FX, for a number of reasons. But I digress) and my general experience is this:
These amp sims are rarely made with the intention of being used with a basic signal chain - that is, guitar -> amp(sim) -> rawk - if you're after really heavy/brutal/grinding tones. The idea then is rather to put an OD or two in front and gain things up that way.
This took me years to figure out, as I had no idea how or why to use guitar effects prior to going digital. If you for whatever reason don't want to boost your signal with an OD, you can get around it by increasing the input gain on either your interface or inside Bias FX (knob in the lower right corner).
The best sounds I've gotten out of Bias so far have been by using the treble booster and an OD in front of the amp. If you're not interested in assembling signal chains like that, you might be happier going with some other software.

@vaughan-macegan Well this what I was doing and thought was the way to do it, when i was 13 and was just starting. I don't know a single band that gets their tone using a distortion pedal in front of a clean amp. You need to use a good high gain amp and boost on the front. BTNMNKI describes it well, but I m sure you can search the net and find good tutorials. Putting a distortion pedal in front of a clean amp is NOT the way to do it!!
