Cabinet to be used with Bias Head/Rack
-
Hi, I'm planning to by a Bias Head/Rack for my home recording studio. Currently I have a Vox V112NT-G2 cab, which is equipped with 1 x 16Ohm Celestion Greenback (25-watt), and a hand-made cab, which is equipped with 1 x 8ohm Celestion Greenback (25-Watt). I've done some research via the help and also some youtube channels, although people says that Bias Head/Rack could work with any cab with 8 and 16ohm, I still wonder if the insanely high wattage Bias Head/Rack would destroy my low wattage cabs. Any people around here could give a certain answer? Thanks!

@chrisnagase There's an "output" control. If you keep that low, you should be fine. There are built in safeguards for your cabinet as well, as you can see from the user manual below:

@danbieranowski /Cheers mate!

@chrisnagase Unfortunately,I damaged my Orange PPC108 cab (30watt maybe?) through connecting to the biashead.
So take care when you use low watt cabs. -
I know this is an old topic but does the new bias mini have this safety feature like bias head and rack?

@cbabson1988 Yes it's. Please always make sure that your chosen cabinet can match the poweramp of the MINI Amp.

Is cabinet with one Celestion Vintage 30 (60 Watt 8 ohm) will be ok for BIAS mini? or I must use another one cabinet?
