Help on stereo delay
-
Hi i have noticed a lack of presence on the delay pedal, maybe Im missplacing it on the chain also I noticed the ping pong delay is not a real stereo sound, for me it sound like this right, center, left
any tips to make this pedal more efficient, I mean for soloing is not that pleasant I feel like its missing something
PS take a look on my preset sample and let me know your thoughts

Which delay is that? Not all of them have mix controls, which is pretty painful to me actually. The ping pong issue sounds like something else may be weird in the routing

it is the ping pong one, so in your experience whats the best delay pedal to create that pleasant repites for a solo patch? i mostly have used the ping pong one in order to achieve that stereo or pan ambient but im not getting that either
PS the patch in the capture above describes how my routing is

@js-toffer I haven’t tried the ping pong delay, but I have seen dual-amp presets where two digital delays are used - one after each amp, and before the mixer. Then , each delay is set slightly differently, and the mixer is set to pan the amps right and left. Look in the tone cloud for “Roy Ziv Blues Lead” as an example. Let us know if you find a setting you really like.

does the ping pong behave correctly if you switch the amps to single path? If its really ok to be using stereo for the particular track I LOVE ping pongs

I just got a chance to try it, it seems to be coming out evenly for me but its really hard to tell, this pedal has no wet/dry mix control, so, who knows.
If you are using Bias FX as a vst and not standalone, tyrout the free Spaceship delay, it has a good ping pong setting in it and a wet/dry control

if im on a single amp path the ping pong does the same effect right, center, left :)

@js-toffer Thanks for posting the clips - both sound good, and you can certainly hear the delay going left to right!
The "Ping Pong" delay sounds like it has a little more of the upper frequencies.
