Bias Feedback problems
-
So I have the professional edition and this issue started happening recently, no matter what preset I use the feedback is just so terrible. I turned down the gain on my audio interface and it's still pretty bad, I have to turn on audio noise reducer in the fx panel another one that's built into the bias system on the bottom bar. With both of those on it makes the tone sound horrid so I was looking for some quick fixes to this problem, I'm using the latest ASIO drivers with a focusrite solo 2nd gen interface
-
Is there any kind of routing, physical or virtual that could be involved? Is that solo's direct monitor set switch surely set to off? Maybe its broken? Can you confirm that OFF on the direct monitor is actually off?
-
Yes, if direct monitoring was on all i'd hear would be a clean guitar sound, no feedback
-
But if its leaky, its enough to send a bit back thru and create a loop. Used to be an issue on some of the maduio fastraks.
Can you describe the rest of your daw chain or are you using this in standalone?
-
Standalone, just Bias
-
the "just recently" part really makes it sound like a leaking direct monitor, but there's some small chance there's another routing going on in windows, but I doubt it, its hard to imagine how the bias software would change to make this problem
-
If it helps I tried using a different software for guitars and it worked fine, as far as no feedback.
-
A different standalone? Sorry to be so nitpicky, its just these things can be crazy to diagnose
-
Yeah, I tried it on a mac, specifically garageband
-
That could do a whole different routing though. Does bias make the some problem in garageband?
-
Yes it does.
-
well, now you narrowed it down to bias for sure...I don't know what that means, but its a start :) Are the stock amps feeding back? Where are your input and output controls at (you know the ones that don't show value at a glance? - PLEASE fix that PG!!!)
