Positive Grid Spark Mini not found by firmware driver
-
My computer (windoes) does find the Spark Mini when conncted with an USB cable as an audio device and it can be used as a speaker. However, this works because the amp is found by a windows driver.
I installed the official positive grid driver and installed it. At the end of the installtion I am asked to connect and disconnet the amp to finish the installtion. This does not work. I can finish the installtion by agreeing to do the connection procedure later, but even then it is not working and when I open the driver, I can see that the driver does not find the amp.
Meanwhile I have updated the amp with the latest software, but still driver and amp do not connect.
Does anybody know how to fix this problem? -
me too..
It seems that it still does not support the windows system -
It seems the asio driver for windows only supports the spark 40 (I don't have a 40 to verify this is true but I guess other people are using it with windows). I could not get the mini working. it would load the windows driver which only gives limited support, Even pointing to the PG inf files it can't find a match.

Hi Sebastian, my SPARK Mini connects in Win 11. Important: unzip the driver package by right clicking the file and chosing "unpack all" (must be something like this, I don't use Win in english). :-) Opening the file in a ZIP folder usually causes problems!
Then I do it the following way: Connect (Amp switched off). Then switch on the spark.. Start firmware as an admin (right-click on the unzipped driver *.bat, choose "open as administrator"). Allow the file to be opened by Windows when the security prompt opens. Then, press and hold both buttons on the back of the SPARK until the red preset lights flash. Then the upgrade of the firmware can be started. It takes quite a while and the screen seems to freeze at one point.
I hope, this helped! Good luck!
