Spark popping noise in shutdown
-
Has anyone found a solution for this? It seems like even if you send it back to PG you may end up with the same problem. I’m hoping someone with the knowledge to address solid state circuit pcb’s may have an idea.

Been doing some searching seems like solid state amps have a tendency to pop because upon powering down there’s a temporary imbalance in the power rail which pulls at the speaker. Apparently some amps have a circuit to minimize this. So maybe that’s what is failing in these amps.

After some back and forth with tech support I decided not to send my amp in for repair/replacement for 60.00. I brought up the users who had repeated problems after the repair and they said essentially that they will repair it once, but if it reoccurs it on the user and nothing they can do. That’s not good enough for me. I cannot recommend the spark 40 simply due to reliability issues. As long as it works it’s great but they fail too often. I will be trying other companies in the future
