Try adjusting the Noise Gate Pedal within the Preset. If it’s set too high, it will cut out a low volume guitar signal. -
@dan-lawrence Thank you sir that seem to do the trick so what’s a general good setting for noise gate or will I have to adjust each preset that has noise gate

@leslie-taylor
Unfortunately, you’ll probably need to adjust the Noise Gate in each Preset, or if you don’t need it, just turn the pedal off.The Noise Gate is intended to remove annoying background ‘hiss’ from the guitar signal chain. Turning the level higher removes (cuts off) higher volume noise. In your case, it was actually cutting off low volume guitar sounds.
To set it up, hook up your guitar, select your Preset, and adjust volumes to comfortable levels for your playing style. Now set the guitar aside; don’t play the guitar during setup. Turn the Noise Gate Pedal off, or the Level down to see how much background noise you actually have. The more gain or distortion you use, the more likely you are to have ‘noise’ in the signal chain.
Slowly turn up the Noise Gate Level until any hiss or background noise just disappears, or is at least at a more comfortable level. That’s most likely the correct level. Now play a couple notes or chords and listen to the sustain. Finally play a couple favorite low and high volume riffs. Tweak as necessary…
A Compressor Pedal does the same kind of thing; however, it’s intended to actually cut off both low and high guitar levels at the appropriate volume settings. If your using a Preset with a Compressor Pedal in the signal chain, an improper low volume level for your setup could result in a similar issue.

@dan-lawrence thats alot of good info and worked for me but in most cases im talking bout a preset with out a noise gate if the volume is up all seems to be fine the minute you turn it down at all its like you changed the tempo the sustain drops out like the strings are just dead im wondering if i have a issue with my spark because would be very annoying to most players i would imagine especially when playing back tracking useing diffrent tone or preset during the song theres no time for all the adjusting

If you can identify a specific Preset that’s really giving you the problem, and the type of guitar you’re using, then I can see if I get a similar result. -
@dan-lawrence my guitar is just squire fender stat infinity series and for example try preset hotel California by Juan Esparza

Hope I got the right Preset. I was able to find and download “hotel carlofornia” by Juan Esparza. Both the Noise Gate and Compressor were turned on in the downloaded version.Played through (badly) some Carlos Santana and other slow pentatonic stuff with my Strat. With Strat Volume at 8 (my normal setting) and no changes to the Preset Noise Gate or Compressor, I had plenty of sustain. Alternately turning off the Noise Gate, Compressor and other pedals had minimal effect to my sustain; final notes held and decayed naturally (to my inexperienced ear). No abrupt cutoff.
Adjusted Noise Gate Threshold to 8 o’clock position (same as my favorite Presets), and recognized a small improvement. Turned Strat Volume to 3; while I lost some overall tone, I still had good sustain and naturally sounding decay with no abrupt cutoff.
My setup I was guitar straight into my Spark 40. Listened through both the Spark 40 speakers and Tascom TH-200X Headphones (thru Spark Headphone Jack). Spark App runs through my iPad. I have, but seldom use my Spark Controller so I didn’t use it during this test.
