NEWBIE; FX2 Noise Gate Not Woking..?
-
I'm completely new to Bias FX2 but have used other Amp Sims. I like what I'm hearing and the possibilities, but there's a real issue with the Noise Gate for me.
I downloaded the COMFORTABLY NUMB SOLO 11 patch from the ToneCloud, and its great except that it has a huge hum/static/noise as soon as it's loaded, and before even playing it. I'm not talking about the clicks/pops you get when the buffer on the system needs adjusting. To check that it isn't my guitar, I put it as an insert on a previously recorded guitar track in Studio One, and it was no better. It even started buzzing away during the short 1 Bar 'blank' section on the track; the bit of track that is part of the file but is just before I started playing during recording.
Adjusting the Noise Gate pedal in the chain does absolutely nothing, even if I move its' position; it doesn't even mute the audio. I tried all 3 noise gate pedals in Bias FX2 Pro and none did anything.
I tried searching online which brought me to this forum, where I see others have had issues with the gate also. Here's hoping someone here can help out.

@vjkunion if you look at the top right corner of the white colored noise gate, there is a small toggle that can be switched up to the “MUTE” position or switched down to the “REDUCTION” setting. Switch the noise gate to MUTE and also turn all three dials to the 12 ‘o’clock position. If that’s not enough, feel free to add a second noise gate as well right next to it on the signal chain, that should quiet up all the noise.
