RIFF BUT NO RAFF

How do you charge an iPad or iPhone at the same time while using RIFF?
Why use a micro USB to Lightning cable when all new Apple Products are USB-C or Thunderbolt? So, add another USB-A to TB dongle to operate RIFF with 2021 Apple products.

Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adapter
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01F7KJDIMUSB-C should be the standard interface for any modern audio/media peripheral, especially one that is marketed as "Ready for iOS" :|

All my IOS and OSX gear is USB-C; so are all my peripherals...
And so are the two ANDROID tablets I have.
Lightning and Micro USB are a pain, unreliable, adapters to "C" don't always pass audio or pass through the correct 5V.
It sounds like it was designed 3 years ago.
It also seems like a Spark without the power amp/speakers....and the Spark was presented as an "all in one interface."
?????????????

@silverface I can confirm the Google made USB-A to C adapters that came with the pixel line work with the Riff. I just got mine in the mail today. I think its good, it would be better if we weren't pissing in the wind here trying to find support on our own.
That said if you have a high quality adapter you should be okay, though I do not think the Riff works on Android. I'm actually going to test it out to see.

@andrewdanesi83 Oh, I can probably use it just fine (I ditched adapters and have cables with different interfaces on each" USB-A to all the others; and USB to same.
So there would be no problem using it. But I still have no clue if it's a "value added", tool or a Spark without az power amp * speakers. (since the knobs on the Spark can be overriden by the Spark app, it just looks like a Spark without guts.
Can anyone who has actually USED both confirm this?
And I have to say that my experiences with Service have been great (EXCEPT for their continuing messages asking if I'm pleased - I got one the day sent my Spark in!)
But my Spark was a year out of warranty, and the power section plus several other parts of the circuitry were burnt up in the Spark (along with an external drive and all my USB recording peripherals and drives) when my MacBook Pro's' USB ports suddenly spit out 18VDC instead of 5VDC.
I told them about it, Got an RMA - with an initial estimate of $125 - and shipped the amp off.
And got it back around 10 days later fully repaired.
So I can't bitch about actual service - just phone and email support are inconsistent. But I thought I'd get a bill for $125 or so plus shipping.
