Disgusted with this amp..
-
I was an early customer with a very long wait for my amp. On top of the long wait I have never used my amp. I plugged it in on arrival and it had a terrible hum. Going through the settings it only got worse. I tried customer support and was told it's just plugged into a bad socket. My home is about the same age as my amp. Other amps work fine on the same socket so it's definitely not the wall socket. Is hear there is a grounded power supply that fixes this issue. I have never used this amp because the noise instantly disgusts me to the point of immediately turning it off. Is this going to be a warranty issue or do I have to pay more to enable this amp to work where my other amps work fine?

Hi Brian,
I know it can be frustratinbg working through Support- it took me a while to resolve my issues but once it's sorted it's actually a great product and I've owned most of the amps that the Bias Amp matches.
No I don't work for PG-but I'd suggest you hang in there -you may have a bad board in the amp.
NB:
If you go through the settings and you have super high gain with lots of tube stages and have disabled the noise reduction you will have lot's of noise- just like real analogue amps-it goes with the territory. -

It sounds as if you need a grounded power supply. If that’s a case let the supports team know and they should send you one out. There was a few people who had this problem and it got sorted eventually. Although whenever I’ve had an issue I’ve no5 only contacted support through here but also on their Facebook messenger thing. Eventually I’ve got a reply but it does take time. And if you are UK based you’ll obviously need to factor in the time delay due to being over the pond as I found it may take a day or two to get an answer from them. Another option is to speak to their UK supplier which I believe is a GuitarGuitar store in London.
I hope this helps

Hello everybody,
I'm having exactly the same problem with a rack processor.
Did one of you find a solution, or is it good for garbage?...
Thanks a lot
Fred Hello everybody, -
I have same amp and faced the same issue but still i can't get the answer.

Here is the unbelievable answer they kindly gave me this morning:
« I just checked with my service center and asked if they still have the necessary parts to do repairs on the BIAS RACK unit and unfortunately they don't. They don't have any more main audio board parts able to be swapped for you. I truly apologize for the inconvenience. The only other way would be to find a local electronics repairer who may be able to assist you with repairs.«
I thought serious companies respected their customers and were serious regarding obsolescence. This preamp is less than 3 years old… good for garbage.
Well I must be naive. PG is not a seirous company.
