New Amps and Peddles for Original Spark?
-
I have updated to 1.4.3 and cannot find the new Dumbo amp, Clone Drive, Blues JR, 6508 amp, etc. I heard these are available with the new Pearl Spark. Does that mean they are not available for the original Spark? I thought that was what updating the firmware was about aside from fixing issues and security.
Thanks for any info.

@lbs2000
no, they are available to everyone,
you just need to update the app -
@samueleonline I thought I did...is 1.4.3 for firmware the latest? Is there another type of update I am missing?
Thanks!

@samueleonline I can find the new amps and pedals in the cloud, but not in my list of amps and pedals. Do I have to download the new hardware from the cloud? I thought they should show up in my list of amps and pedals.

if in the firmware info you are sure that the update to the latest version has occurred, then you certainly need to update the app
or uninstall and reinstall it if you don't find the new amps and effects (backup your profile) -
@samueleonline Yes it is updated to 1.4.3.174. I did a factory reset and also rebooted my iPad. Still have only 30 amps listed and no new ones such as Dumbo, Blues JR, etc. Also, for some reason, when I go to the amp listing and bring up an amp, and then tap one the icons to get to the setting or tap on the cloud icon, they are frozen and I have to reboot the ipad to access those.

@samueleonline OK, contacted support and they quickly responded with the answers I needed and have now successfully downloaded the update to my iPad and now have all the equipment available. Now I have a much better understanding of how this system works.
Thanks for trying to help!

@lbs2000 I'm having the same issue, what was the fix?

@michael-brittain
In the Spark 40, Positive Grid uses its own names for its implementation of amps and pedals. For example, their Blues Jr is called Blues Boy, and their MXR Micro Amp is called Booster.Also, ToneCloud is shared with Presets from the Spark 40, BIAS FX, and BIAS AMP. Both BIAS Tools contain a lot more pedal and amp options than the Spark 40. So some items listed in a BIAS-created preset wonโt be selectable on a Spark 40.
Hope that helps ๐ค๐
