Upgraded to new firmware and updated app
-
After updating both firmware and App, I do not see the new amps or pedals.
any ideas -
Sounds like the amp didn't process the update...try again, make sure the install screen on your computer shows the correct new firmware version (1.4xxx?) then hit the Eject button in the installer, to disconnect
-
@alphasportstv Also make sure you're connecting the USB cable directly to your computer, not to a hub (powered or unpowered).
-
Same here. I followed the instructions to the letter. I confirm my app is latest version (2.0.0.3612) and firmware indicated in app as 1.4.3.174, both installed without errors. BUT no new amps or pedals etc.
-
@dhbailey FYI I actually did mine thru a powered USB hub, no problem. Tho I agree better if you don't.

I've updated both my iphone Spark app and firmware on the Spark amp, I don't see any new pedals or new amps???
Am I missing something here?
Can someone load a video showing how to access these new pedals, all I want to check out is the "Clone Drive" as the update email shows it is newly added as well as the video on how to update the firmware.

OK worked it out. You need to go to you app store, lookup the spark app, there is an "Update" option available, click it and the Spark app updates. Now the new pedal is available and selectable.
Check your Spark app is updated, even though I have my app settings to auto update.

@jim-6
Are you using iOS or Android. I have updated both the driver and re-installed the app several times and still can't find the new functions anywhere? Like you said ... any chance of a screen shot? -
@darren-starr
Like @jim-6 I updated the app and the spark, followed step by step, several times and I can’t find the new amps and pedals… I even reset the spark following what some indicated here in the forum and nothing. I have a Spark Pearl and I use both android and iOS (also I uninstalled both and installed again to see and nothing). it’s frustrating… -
After I updated my iPAD and Android devices no new gear drops were visible. After a lot of frustration I found that logging out and logging in to the app seemed to solve the problem.
After I logged out I rebooted each device to make sure the App wasn't secretly lurking in the background. After rebooting I spun up the app again and logged back in to the App, after which I could see the new gear drops.
I have to say I wasted a lot of time trying to get this working.

So .... after several attempts I got sound back and at first it still appeared that the new amps etc were not there.
BUT ... they do not appear on any standard menu such as the hardware presets or software presets. If you "double-click" on any amp in any preset, it gives you a list of amps (never knew that!) and the new amps are in there!
This is what it looks like on Android:

I have a 'bricked' amp every time I try to install the new firmware for the updated amps. The ASIO and firmware installation are always successful. It always indicates that my firmware is up-to-date. I press eject; I've tried 3 USB ports; I've reinstalled all the programs half a dozen times; I've tried factory and Bluetooth resets; I've tried this process 8-9 times. As advised by the rep that is working with me, I reinstalled the previous firmware. This restored the sound to my amp; however, when I tried to upgrade the firmware again, I have the same problem with no sound. They are still working with me, but I'm definitely at beyond the point of being frustrated.

Thank you for this! -
@darren-starr thanks!! Now they appear… I hope this is fixed because it doesn’t make sense they don’t appear with the others… but, great! Thanks a lot!!

@elittlefield can you keep us informed of any progress you're making. Mine is bricked as well.
