Got my spark. Love it but have few issues
-
I’m not sure if it’s just me, if that’s how it supposed to work or if I can do something to fix it.
I’m using my spark amp with my iPhone 12 Pro.
-
Every time I turn on the amp and open my app I have to go through the connection process. This usually fails 2-3 times before connecting on the 3rd try. Is that normal?
-
When choosing music to play through the amp the music never plays smooth. It always breaks, cracks, stops and starts it’s just unusable. My phone is literally 1 feet from the amp not touching anything unobstructed.
-
finally, when I like a guitar tone and download it to my tones - what if I don’t like it anymore? I couldn’t find a way to remove it from my list. Also looking at “all” category in my tones does not show all of the tones I downloaded, which is weird.
Anyone else has these issues? They really make a 10 product into a 6 imho.

@shai Yes every time you turn off the amp you will have to reconnect it to the app it does not stay in a standby mode when you turn off the power. You could just leave it on no different from leaving your phone or tablet on or any other device these days. Turn down the volume on the guitar.
The music is being played on your phone or tablet device the Spark is just a bluetooth speaker so maybe something in the devices streaming service? I play mine from the app on my tablet to my home entertainment system and just the guitar through the Spark
Can't help you on the last either because I make my own presets, sorry on that one.

I'm not a fan of internal amplifiers or internal sound cards. I prefer external devices with the possibility of modification

Ok, I'll give it a shot ...

Yes, you have to connect the app to the amp for each new session but it's a one-click step. Mine connects first time every time in just a few seconds.
-
Not normal. When streaming backing tracks you might encounter buffering occasionally, a matter of server overload, but PG has improved that. When using the Spark as a bluetooth speaker, mine streams without a hitch or glitch.
-
When you download a tone preset you are prompted to save it to one of their pre-defined categories. Go to that category, find the preset, select delete from popup options menu. Easy. The app will not show hardware presets unless your amp is on and connected. As for not seeing all presets, PG has arbitrarily imposed a global 20-anything (presets in a category, favorite backing tracks, etc) limit throughout the app. Once you exceed that limit it replaces oldest with newest. Sounds like that's what you're running into.
Re your first two complaints, could be your Spark has a buggy bluetooth but doubtful. Could be your device's bluetooth is buggy, also doubtful. More likely you have some bluetooth channel conflict/inteference in the surrounding environment (tv, router, etc).
