Feedback in acoustic mode
-
I get some background noise in acoustic mode. Seems to go away when I touch the cable plus leading me to believe that Spark does not have a ground. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

@incubus4fun Do you have a 3-prong power adapter or just the 2-prong that most Spark amps ship with? One way to avoid that background noise might be to use a wireless connection between the guitar and the amp. Do you get the same background noise when you use an electric guitar? If not, then perhaps your volume knob on your acoustic guitar needs to be turned down some. Or perhaps the battery inside your acoustic guitar needs to be replaced, if there is one in the guitar.

@dhbailey Hi, Thank you for the reply. I am using the 2-prong that comes with the unit. I will check the battery in my Taylor and see if it needs to be replaced. The electric doesn't not have any hum.

@incubus4fun If your electric doesn't buzz then it's not the power supply. Are you using the same cable with both guitars?

Use a sound hole cover to stop the feedback

@bigsugar67 I don't think he's really talking about feedback -- he says the sound stops when he touches the guitar cable. If it is really feedback like you're suggesting the perfect solution to then touching the cable would have no effect.
