@michael-howell I'm not spending another cent on this. They need to fix it or recall it. I expect revisions to come out. We were the test pilots !
Some people in here will just say you are complaining about hum that is "normal".Or, they will do "nothing" and all who don't replace the PS will have a noisy amp. Your choice of course. ; )

Some people are correct.
Correct in assuming PG will fix this soon? Like they ship soon? LOL ok like I said, YMMV and thats ok, but Id rather have a quiet amp in the meantime (if I ever receive it).

For those who don't want to wait for Positive Grid to send another power supply, I bought this on from Amazon for $18 and it solved all my buzzing problems instantly:

Hope this helps others.

@yuan-kevin-li That is very helpful -- I've read varying listing of the size of the plug (either 5.5x2.5 or 5.5x2.1) so it's great to know that the one you ordered, which has the 5.5x2.5 plug, actually works. I've already ordered one, figuring that whether or not my amp arrives needing a replacement power supply, having two can't hurt. If my amp works great with the power supply it arrives with I can leave that permanently in place at home and keep the spare in my travelling tech bag. Thanks for saying that it solved your problem!

@k-mcg Oh here you are again, getting in the way of people trying to solve real issues with their amps. Go away you PG paid troll.

Projection again.

@cratica so is @K-McG actually a paid employee? he seems to deny it in the above thread? @K-McG are you being paid?
FFS, you think PG would pay someone to behave like I do on their own forum? Are you insane?
Go and look in a mirror, then give yourself a hard slap across your own chops. Still think I'm a stooge? Then slap yourself again. And again. And again. Until you wise up. . .

@k-mcg Could just be a way to throw people off the scent....
Frankly, I don’t really care either way.
-
Haha! You might need to play the Mirror Game too!
-
@k-mcg I’ll look in the mirror all day because I’m so handsome.

1st -> this is an awesome amp!!
I thought I'd add my experience on the hum issue:
On the metal and high gain settings using our Telecaster we get a lot of hum feedback.
If we switch to our Stratocaster the hum goes away.
Also if I use a grounded power supply from one of our laptops the hum feedback also disapears -
I finally received my Spark on July 15 here in Texas, and the hum problem was evident from the get-go. Moving the guitar and cable around, and trying different electrical outlets did not help. When I plugged the Spark’s USB cable into my laptop, which has a grounded power supply, the problem was instantly gone. The laptop does not even have to be turned on. I contacted PG support and they said they would send a replacement power adapter that would solve the problem. They did not provide a timeframe for that, and included an expected disclaimer about delays due to the pandemic, but said they would keep me updated.

@oran_mclean I got the same reply! My new power supply will arrive At home (Madrid-Spain) on Thursday. Did you receive it? Does it work?
-
@jesus I have not yet received my replacement power supply. Glad to hear yours is on the way.

Ey! Good news here... I have received the new power supply sent by Positive grid for free... the hum has completely disappeared!! :-) It has been only 10 days from writing to positive grid to have the new power supply at home. From China to Spain. Good luck to everyone... and rock and roll!

@prucopyn I just received mine yesterday and I don't have the hum mentioned in this post. I have only used one lead and it is a high quality Fender brand lead.
-
My first impression was no hum but as I tried different amps it became apparent and with an acoustic amp had to turn the noise suppressor all the way up to kill. Just requested a new power supply unfortunately all the 19v ground I have at home do not have the proper dc plug the pin hole is too small.

@jesus
Could you post a picture from your new supply. I've written them many weeks before and still wait for it. -

Can anyone confirm the power jack pin size? Is it 2.1mm?
