Backing tracks/Metronome in ios
-
Ok. Everything works as it should with my android Phone. When I use my ipad (latest update installed), I can change amps, settings, etc. When I try to play to a backing track or even the metronome My amp sounds through the spark but the backing track only plays through the ipad's speaker and not through the amp itself. Any help?

Go into your iPads Bluetooth settings and connect the Spark amp. There is a second connection that needs to be made.

@emmongi Yeah, I've been trying that but bluetooth won't connect to spark 40 audio. I have nothing else plugged in to the Spark. Thanks for the tip though. I will keep trying.

I had the same problem. It was caused by the Spark connecting to an available Bluetooth connection automatically (you can see if it's already connected if the blue LED on the back is no longer flashing). Chuck-dayton is right about there being two connections: One is the actual playing-music-from-your-Bluetooth-device connection, and the other is the one initiated by the app that allows for tone info and the like to be ported to the amp.

Where and how do you make that second connection so that the backing tracks are played through the Spark amp?
-
@chuck-dayton If your Android is still connected via BT, that might be the problem. Try turning BT off on the Android that you had connected to the Spark and then reattempt connecting via iOS.

@funjunkie27 Thanks. I turned off bluetooth on my phone and seems to do the trick.

@chuck-dayton The problem was that the Spark, upon switching on, immediately saw the Android's Bluetooth and connected to that.
