Current Status of Delay

Based on the FB page devoted to people waiting to receive, shipments seem to be up with nearly all orders from November filled.
Mine has not been filled and I ordered on November 23rd, however my friend who lives close by and ordered his well after me, he has already received his. SAD.
-
@jameswwiggin I've been doing my part warning people about the kind of company they are doing business with.
-
@macgringo I order mid january and, well.... (cricket sounds)
-
It seems from what I am reading, it takes about 4 months from the time of purchase to getting a shipping notification. Seems to me that should be a disclaimer somewhere when purchasing? If there is one I certainly didn't see it.
-
I ordered one on Apr 18 and the last update has moved delivery out to no earlier than mid June. My credit card was however charged for the full amount on the 18th.
I have ordered other products with only minor delays. Two months?
If the problem is really with customs and not production, I would think my order status would at show in transit.
Also, it bugs me to see ads still poppin up for this product when there is obviously a supply/production problem.
I would like to try this amp but have instead requested a refund via email because of the lack of transparency and there are no other products I would pay full price for with spotty hope that I'll receive it two months.

@robertmcnutt32 In fairness, Robert, you pre-ordered a product. That’s not the same as grabbing one off the shelf. I recognized that when I ordered (and paid for) my Spark back in early November 2019. It arrived April 20. It’s a well-designed, well constructed product and attractively priced.
PG needs to work on its communications, for sure, and definitely needs to punt Zendesk. Also - although your credit card is charged, the funds go into an escrow-like account and PG doesn’t get to access them until delivery of the product. -

Over the years, I have pre-ordered products in my other hobby (RC model aircraft) and 6 months for delivery was the norm. I think once PG catches up, off the shelf delivery will not be a problem. I have never seen a product as well received and in such demand as this one. No one could have predicted that.

The SEC should be contacted! This company is taking our money with no intention of delivering product. They should never charge our credit cards before shipping the product. In my case the fictitious spark amp. I’m in the process of reporting PG to the SEC.
-
@scottoverton Right, so even though the forum is full of people saying they've received their amps, you're going to claim they have "no intention of delivering product." and are reporting them to the SEC.
Do let us know how that goes, Scott.
-
@scottoverton I caution you, Scott, you’re starting to sound like a deranged American. Can you offer some evidence that Positive Grid is “taking our money with no intention of delivering product”? Bear in mind, Scott, that I and thousands of others are enjoying our Spark amps daily. Further, the credit card charge places your money in a form of escrow, so neither party can renege on their commitment. Positive Grid gets to keep your money, once they ship the product.
I expect the SEC will ignore your complaint and dismiss you as another deranged American. Please don’t be offended by my inference that derangement might somehow be uniquely American. That’s not the case - we’ve seen ample examples of derangement from around the planet, on this forum.
-
@rgilgan Thank you for this insight. I was wondering what the payoff was for PG to mark items shipped weeks before they actually ship...the payoff is the actual payoff, they can now realize that revenue.
Didn't make any sense to twist already torqued off customers even more but the money motive ties it neatly with a bow.
-
@goldtop57 Can’t speak for others, but that wasn’t the case for me; Total turnaround from notification of pending shipment to delivery was about 10 days, normal for something coming from offshore.

FFS man get a clue! Deliveries are happening as we speak. Do your homework before spouting off with conspiracy theories.
-
@rgilgan Getting very close to that now for me and the item is marked as shipped and there is a tracking number that is attached to nothing more than a sticky backed label.
This is a brazenly dishonest company.
-
Mine shipped. Ordered it in November. Got a FedEx tracking number Wednesday and it has since moved from City of Industry, CA to Moapa, NV since yesterday (so obviously it's going FedEx ground). FedEx ETA is Tuesday.

@tonyfederici1964 Sounds like liberalist TDS is strong with the music community, still. Damn shame, it is. Fantasy without regard to reality gets zero net results. But if ya wanna stay a sheep in the world of fantasy then have at it. I just want my damn amp delivered like promised for early Feb...then March...then April...and still nuffin'. The claims at PG are not adding up. Time to fess up and let us know the real story PG before lawsuits, etc...start popping up. Bad faith can get expensive, ya know?
-
@bonedaddy8828 let’s not get political that has nothing to do here on this board.
As for positive grid, they’ve made so many claims and so many promises was very little coming true. I ordered my spark amp in November, I told my friends about it who ordered theres AFTER me. My friends have already received there spark amps, but my Spark app is nowhere to be found. I have written to positive grid about this, but they do not reply. I wrote to them about a refund, they do not reply.
-
@bonedaddy8828 I have my Spark amp and it’s so baaaaad. Now I just hang with my flock online and play to my little lamb heart's content. Who woold have known an amp could be so much fun. Shear ecstasy.

"Whatever words we utter should be chosen with care for people will hear them and be influenced by them for good or ill."
~BuddhaWould you agree that good communication is critical when you take someone's money in exchange for a promise to deliver something in return?
While I understand the nature of preorders, my concern arose from a statement in the last email I received from Positive Grid (bottom paragraph in quotes). If the delay of my shipment is really due to backlogged customs, I would expect the status of my order to be stuck @ Shipped rather than Preparation. Also, if Positive Grid is prioritizing local/regional orders over international, for faster recognition of revenue, do you think that shows good integrity? The statement below does not appear to be transparent.
Statement in email update:
"Despite worldwide shipping delays, we have worked to optimize the transportation of Spark units to get them to you as fast as possible. The challenge we face now is the delay caused by backlogged customs agencies around the world."Regards,

@davealexander59 Update. It was in Rifle, CO yesterday and now it's in Brady, NE, heading toward Minneapolis.
