Bias FX2 and Studio One
-
I just purchased Bias FX2 Standard today. Downloaded to my computer and have it activated. I use Studio One Artist 4 as my DAW but it doesn’t recognize it as a Plugin when I try to add it. Funny thing is, I was using the Demo for a few days before I upgraded to the Standard without any problem. Just can’t get it running. Anybody offer any suggestions? Appreciate the help. Thanks.

If this in on Windows PC make sure you installed the VSTs to c:\program files\vstplugins. (the Studio One default)

In order to use 3rd party plugins (VST on Windows, VST/AU on macOS) in S1 Artist, you need the VST and AU and Rewire Support addon. Only S1 Pro supports 3rd party plugins out of the box.

He says that he was using the demo prior to using the version he purchased, so I think it safe to assume he already has the vst situation with the Artist version of Studio One sorted.
To the OP
Go to 'C\Users\Your User name\AppData\Roaming\PreSonus\Studio One 4' and rename the folder 'x64' to something else like x64OLD. Then start up Studio One, it will rebuild the x64 folder as it does so, then check to see if BFX2 works as it should. You can always return to the previous state if you wish by removing the new 'x64' folder that S1 created, then renaming the x64OLD(or whatever you named it) back to 'x64'
Of course be sure to have your paths inside Studio One pointing to the correct locations for your plugins etc.
