Bypass Amplifier and Cabinet?
-
I know it sounds silly, but I occasionally do "fly dates" and so I've started using iOS apps with an iRig HD/Blueboard setup instead of bringing gear on planes, etc... BiasFX works great when I'm going straight to a PA, however, sometimes there is a backline at these gigs. I'd like to create "pedal only" programs that I can use with a backline (i.e., feed into their Fender Twin or whatever), but I can't seem to find a way to turn off the preamp in Bias. Anyone know if this can be done?

@duane-allen-harlick No need to create special presets. Just use the 'Output Setting' Menu in the bottom Bar and globally enable or disable whatever you want: You can have up to four separate configs (Amp Front, Combo Power Amp, Stack, and Direct) and there is even a simple EQ for each for global adjustments.
I run my iPad both direct for headphone practive and straight into a power amp/cab without changing anything! It is a brilliant feature.
For example, this is how you'd setup for FX-Only, no amps or cabs:
-
If the head itself was made with an impulse, I have found that turning off the cab has no effect, so I make sure to include no cabinet versions just in case
-
Is there anyway to bypass the cabinet only on certain presets?
-
@salvatore-di-piazza If you have nocab versions of the heads
-
So I have to export from Bias Amp a nocab head into bias fx right?
-
That's how I've been doing it
-
That leaves out all the proprietary heads, like Ola's, Merrow's, etc......

Yeah, I was just talking to tech support about it, it seems like the metal pack stuff isn't going to work at all with a regular guitar amp
