Laptop issue
-
Hello everyone!
First: I am italian and I didn’t study English at school so.... please forgive (and forget!!) my mistakes :)))I have my copies of both BIAS AMP 2 and BIAS FX 2 for windows and I installed them on 2 different pc: a desktop and a laptop.
On my desktop I use Win7 into a Focusrite Scarlett soundcard and Bias FX and Bias Amp work rrrreally greeat! I am very happy!Unfortunately I have some problems with my laptop. It runs win10 and there is an annoying issue: when I play, the sound often disappears completely for a couple of seconds. For the laptop I use an iRig HD2 as a soundcard.
Why do I have that issue??
Thanx to everybody

@o_oliviero I have recently had they same issue. On lower spec older laptop fx2 works fine. On newer higher spec laptop I get stuttering quite regularly. I use an irig HD2 using ASIO4ALL. Any ideas?

I’ve forgotten to specify that I use ASIO 4 ALL -
See what sort of results you have with one of these

@pipelineaudio
Thanx for your reply!
I will check as soon as possible and I will post my results here. -
Here I am
Downloaded, installed and ran LatencyMonResult: “Your system appears to be suitable for handling real-time audio and other tasks without dropouts.”
Ok... What does it mean??
-
If it went for as long as you play where you'd normally experience a dropout, then now its a bit trickier to find the issue. Perhaps run it with bias running and let it run for ten minutes or however long it takes to drop out normally
If it still doesnt make a problem, try the other latency monitor
If it still doesnt show an issue, then it is very likely something weird like the cable from the interface to the computer or the interface itself

I'd leave the latency monitor running for at least an hour. Sometimes the offending processes don't show up very often, and so it's wise to give it some time to see what 's happening on your machine.
