BIAS AMP 2 - Rock Factory Preset Update (Crunch and High Gain)
-
Hi all BIAS Amp 2 users!
We've done an awesome update for the Low Gain presets in September, and now it's time for the Crunch and High Gain presets!
At Positive Grid, we are constantly researching and innovating to bring musicians the best-sounding guitar modeling software available. This is why we are thrilled to release a second update to BIAS AMP 2’s factory presets. This latest under-the-hood update has improved the dynamic response of the amp models found in the Crunch and High Gain factory preset categories. Additionally, BIAS AMP 2 users can expect a much more balanced midrange tone with a tighter low end, giving a warmer, grittier tone with more crunch.
To see which presets have been updated in this latest release, please refer to the list below:
Crunch
- British Plexi 50w
- British Lead 800
- Hiway DR 103
- ‘69 Super Lead
High Gain
- British Rock 50
- RB 101B
- SLO 100
- Monster VH4
This update for factory presets are available for free for BIAS AMP 2 desktop and mobile owners. To download these updated presets, head on over to ToneCloud in BIAS AMP 2.
To hear them in action, you can preview each preset in the SoundCloud player here

What I don't like about your improvements: they aren't leveled, neither to the previous amps, nor to the others in the specific section.
Come on… it's not that hard and an upgrade would have been the perfect moment for that (but you missed it).Just take a look at the V2 "British Plexi 50w" which kills your ears in comparison :/

One thing I like about PG is that you guys always try to improve. Thanks for the free update! The universal app on iOS was an awesome surprise, too.

If its that hard for them to get the levels straight, imagine how hard it is for us mere mortals!!!
Yet another reason for: Fine tune, values at a glance, and per preset output volume controls!

@pipelineaudio Yes, the leveling thing on the PG stuff is a pain. Especially if you try to do it on a mobile installation (where you have no DAW or other plugins to help). There are a couple of persistent things like that, not being able to directly enter numeric values, your auto-engage concern, that could really add a lot of value if addressed. Hopefully, PG is listening and planning on these at some point.

@pipelineaudio i started using a stylus to change my values

Just wonder if you need to manually download them if you install new fresh Bias Amp 2 install?
-
@powershot-x Hi yes you'll have to manually download them I'm afraid

Is there a way to download all the update at once? Kind of anoying to go through every single new preset... Also it would be great to just add the new PG presets to the new download version and just make the old ones optional. That way every new customer gets the improved versions and all the ones using the old ones are just syncing their tonecloud anyway i guess.
